Nick van de Wall is by far one of the largest artists in the game today, and not just in terms of his ever-growing popularity.

At 6 feet, 10 inches tall, Dutch DJ Afrojack began his career in the EDM hotspot of Holland with heavy-hitting underground tracks that ruled the region’s nightclubs. His first taste of large-scale fame arrived with his single “Take Over Control” featuring Dutch singer Eva Simmons, which charted in 10 different countries. The release went platinum in the U.S. and helped establish his own imprint, Wall Recordings. From there he continued on his path to success by collaborating with big-name artists like David Guetta, with whom he co-wrote and produced “Titanium,” and pouring his skills into massive productions by pop artists the likes of Beyonce, Pitbull, Chris Brown, and Leona Lewis.

In his first appearance on DJMag‘s top 100 in 2010, Afrojack appeared at number 19, the highest placement for a newcomer that year. He followed up strong with a jump to number seven in 2011.

His collaborations and remixes have earned him two Grammy Awards so far, and his production skills have made him one of the most sought-after producers in the music biz. His biggest single of 2012 “Can’t Stop Me” with Shermanology enjoyed solid radio play, and his club hit “Rock The House” reached the number-one spot on Beatport after just three days, making it one of the fastest-climbing records ever to hit their digital shelves.
